About Steven:

Steven holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology. Additionally, he holds certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft and has been working in the IT Industry full-time since 1996.

Prior to working in the industry, Steven ran a computer bulletin board system (BBS) known as "My Other BBS (MOBBS)" which was the support site for the Pasadena IBM Users Group (PIBMUG). The BBS ran from 1987 to 1996, when the Internet took over for the online community.

After relocating to the San Fernando Valley, Steven became involved with The Users Group Network (TUGNET) where he has made presentations on topics varying from video editing, digital audio, home networking and highlights of some of his favorite shareware.

Steven is A+ Certified from CompTIA (The Computing Technology Industry Association). This certificate "validates the knowledge of computer service technicians with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers accept CompTIA A+ as the standard in foundation-level, vendor-neutral certification for service technicians." Steven has held his A+ Certification since 1998.
Steven is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. "The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential is for professionals who have the skills to successfully implement a Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an organization. Hands-on experience with a product is necessary to successfully achieve certification." Steven has been MCP certified since 1998.
Steven is a member of HDI, the Helpdesk Institute and serves on the Executive Board as Webmaster for the Los Angeles Chapter.

Steven is very proud to have augmented his technical skills with additional people-oriented skills that make him a more well-rounded support person.
