Software Recommendations
People constantly ask me for
recommendations about programs that will carry out specific tasks. This section
is broken up into categories of software types and then further into the
products that I recommend. Additionally, I explain why I find them to be useful
and provide links to the appropriate vendor's websites.
The Internet is full of useful tools and lots of junk. The difficulty is
figuring out which tools are worthwhile and which ones masquerade around as
something useful but were created to steal your identity or target you with
advertising. Because of this, I am working on a list of applications that I feel
are "safe" for specific tasks.
If you have an application or utility that you find useful and feel should be listed here, please feel free to let me know. I will look at it and if I feel comfortable recommending it to others, I will give it my two cents here.
